Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. She was raised by a mother who was an housewife, and her father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin, her twin brothers. McCormick began singing and dancing in her early years and frequently performed puppet shows in front of children in her area. The fairytale story of her rise to fame started when she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6 which led to an inquiry from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick's first big job was during 1964, when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in the year 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon she was given the main character in The Wind It Up and It Breaks, a play in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded girls on the brand new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with an unintended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's memoir Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. The book revealed that McCormick nearly lost her virginity on the set of the series during the fifth season when it was played by Barry Williams. The actress was just 16 years older and the actor 19, at that time. She stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
